Description

This is a fine example of a lovely early 19th century mahogany-cased eight-day longcase clock. The twelve-inch white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds hand underneath the twelve o'clock position is in excellent original condition, as are the blued hands, and the opening hood aperture is flanked by split turned mouldings and two bottle-vase-shaped finials which match the attractive and unusual mouldings flanking the trunk door which has an ebonised inlay. The case has been restored with excellent patina and is raised on a plinth atop short bracket-style feet. Standing 6ft 9" tall this clock comes with my two year guarantee as standard.

Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I unreservedly recommend collection or I can deliver regionally/nationally. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own.
