Antique 18th Cent Oak 8 Day Longcase Clock

Description

A lovely little antique oak longcase clock of unusualy small size (6' 2" high). It is by William Cocking of Sandwich, Kent. He is listed as working there in the mid 18th cent (C1750).

The oak case is in good un-restored condition and is a lovely colour.

The fully restored 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive brass dial. It has a subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator and all is working as it should and the clock keeps good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

188mm(74") high

48mm(19") wide

24mm(9.5") deep
