Chalfont Clocks has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Nicolas - Antoine Le Nepveu (1736-1796) supplied clocks as Ouvrier libre c.
He worked in the Rue de Salkle au Compte and in the Rue Magloire.
The case with foliate scroll work, urn finial and Dryad mask still retains much of its original mercury gilding. The original enamel dial has one minor blemish which can be rectified, this clock is shown unserviced and in original condition any restoration work can be carried out at the customers request.
The movement will be serviced and will carry our 2 year guarantee.
