Description

A good quality, very original rosewood cased striking bracket clock dating to the early 19th Century. It has a chamfer top, the case has brass edged inlaid brass quadrant panels, and chamfered brass set corners, a wavey base moulding and adjustable brass ball feet. The sides have brass drop handles and side frets lined with silk. The convex dial has a brass bezel and high dome convex glass, with moon hands and is signed by the maker John Tunnel, Fleet Street, London. It has an 8 day twin fusee movement that strike the hours on a bell and has an hour pull repeat.
