Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
It has the inevitable fine shrinkage cracks to the base but other than that it is in fine condition. It would appear to have been made without back feet and was designed to lean against the wall.

The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell, It has an attractive painted dial with a nicely painted scene to the arch depicting Little Bow Peep with some sheep.
