A Small English Skeleton Clock

Description

A small and very pretty mid-Victorian English SKELETON CLOCK by John Hallam of Nottingham. The “steeple” design 8-day movement incorporates a fine chain-driven fusee; anchor escapement and the original precision brass pendulum. Complete with Victorian glass dome and inlaid rosewood base. The dome: 14.5ins high overall.

** John Hallam of Nottingham is recorded working there 1819-1844 then succeeded by Hallam & Son (Thomas Junior) 1844-1891.
