Firstly, the colour and patination of this piece is exceptional!
The slightly bowed sides always a good sign.
The trunk door bordered with short grain moulding, over base with fielded panel and cross-banded, over serpentine feet.
The case now housing a matched movement from similar period. The 25 day movement with tapered plates fronted by a 10" brass dial engraved with swifts, and a chapter ring with Roman numerals and Arabic outers.
This being a very desirable small size which will go anywhere and being figured and burr walnut will fit in and surroundings!
