The case is ebonised and is in good unrestored condition. There is some local rubbing exposing the wood underneath and a few chips to the back door.
The good quality twin fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a smart silvered Dial with a strike/silent selector to the arch.
This was a common modification and was probably carried out in the 19th Cent. The movement is in good running order and keeping good time.
