W&h Ting-tang Bracket Clock

Description

A quality late Victorian bracket clock by the World famous maker WINTERHALDER & HOFFMEIRE.

The 8 day movement strikes the quarter hours with a double "ting-tang" strike and the number of hours on a separate coiled gong. It has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.

The arched brass dial has a silvered, engraved chapter ring with engraved Roman numerals, a matted centre and gilded spandrels. There is a subsidiary rise and fall dial to the arch.

The oak case retains it's original french-polished finish with a lovely, age related patina. It has gilded, arched sound frets to the sides and gilded caryatids to the canted corners and a caddy top with gilded finial. It stands on splayed bracket feet.

A real quality clock.
