This is a fine and rare example of late Victorian craftmanship. The deliberately unrestored dial and original hands are in lovely condition and the refurbished case is made from rosewood with boxwood inlays complimenting the finish. There are long doors to both case sides and a lower door with the original working lock and key. The eight day four pillar wire-driven fusee movement has been overhauled in our workshop and carries the usual two year guarantee and overall this is a lovely piece of furniture and a pleasant change from the more prevalent oak and mahogany finishes available. Not much is known of this maker but they were present in the late 1890''s through the turn of the century and there is little of their work for sale.
I can post within the UK safely so please ask for a quote or the clock can be collected from Gloucester/Tewkesbury; I can also deliver regionally/nationally and set the clock up. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it i...s far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own.
