This lovely fusee mantel clock has a mahogany arched case. The case starts at the top with a brass carry handle sat upon a brass and mahogany “pad”. The case then has a moulding to the arched top leading to the square body of the case.
There is then carved edges to the front corners as well as a further moulding to the bottom. Finally the case is finished by four lovely shaped brass feet.

The dial is then arched, silvered and engraved with black Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes. The dial then has two subsidiary dials to the arch, one for “STRIKE SILENT” and the other so that the clock can be fully regulated. The dial then has a fantastic array of scrolling engraving and is finished by two lovely shaped hands.

The movement is wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is ticking away as it should and comes complete with its pendulum, winding key, and original travel nut. The clock then strikes once on the half past as well as the number of hours on the hour via a gong. The movement is then a double fusee example of the upmost quality!
