Clockwise has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The dial is complimented by original spade hands and the refurbished striking movement is numbered No. 22792 by Marti of Paris. Samuel Marti was one of France's most prolific clockmakers winning many awards and this piece dates from circa 1860. The clock strikes on a sonorous gong and stands just over 10" tall on brass bun feet. This lovely clock comes with my two year guarantee as standard.

Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I unreservedly recommend collection or I can deliver regionally/nationally. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own
