Georgian Regency Mahogany English Lancet Top Bracket Clock, On Bracket.

The case & bracket with choice veneers, with brass inlay. A cast brass bezel to the convex dial with blued steel hands. Circa 1820.
 
Signed by the Maker ''Gray, Market Place, Leicester 271''.
 
William Gray of Market Place, Leicester, is listed to have made a Long-case clock in 1825 and an English Lever watch. Brass side handles and well cast side sound fretwork panels. Bun feet, double fusee mechanism of 8-day duration, striking the hours on a bell.
