Eight Day Mahogany Fusee Wall Clock

1900 - 1920
Sold by Clockwise
Description

This lovely eight-day fusee wall clock dates from the early twentieth century and has just been fully renovated. The original dial was sadly past saving so a high-quality 12-inch cream dial has been fitted and the case and chain-driven movement have been restored. Interestingly the movement (stamped 10446) is accessed by a latch system rather than traditional side pegs allowing the whole front of the clock to swing forwards, identifying this clock as possibly an ex authorities or County Council piece. The original spade hands compliment the dial and this clock is keenly priced.

All my clocks come with my two-year guarantee as standard.

Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I unreservedly recommend collection or I can deliver regionally. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
