18th Cent Mahogany Longcase Clock

Description

A beautifully proportioned 18th Cent longcase clock by George Bucke of Bungay, Suffolk, he is listed as working there from 1765 to 1784.

The mahogany case has a lovely slim trunk and is veneered in very well figured mahogany.

The good quality five pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a very smart brass dial with gilt spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator.

It is all in excellent condition and good working order.

Maximum dimensions:

50cm(19.5") wide

219cm(86") high

27cm(10.5") deep
