Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The architectural style case is in nicely figured mahogany with brass inlay.
It also has smart fish scale side grills with blue silk backing
The 8 day fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a convex painted dial with its original fine steel moon hands.
The case is in good unrestored condition and is a lovely colour. There are some minor veneer chips around the base and the side grills. There is also a fine shrinkage to the front but all the brass inlay is present.
The movement is in good condition, running well and keeping good time.
