Very smart oak case with some nice features. It has a double plinth base, nice slim trunk and original gilt capitals and ball finials.
The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a gong. It has some lovely gilt spandrels, silvered chapter ring and name boss to the arch. The centre of the dial has well executed engraving in the Chinese taste.
The case is in good condition and the movement is running and keeping good time.
