French Louis XV Style Boulle Clock

Description

?A late 19th century, French, cut brass inlaid red tortoiseshell mantel clock in the Louis XV style. The red tortoiseshell and cut brass inlaid case surmounted by a floral urn, the sunburst pendulum visible through the glazed panel, the bevelled glass front opening to gilt dial with enamel Roman numeral tablets. The eight day movement, numbered 45279, rack striking the hour & half hour on a gong. The whole dressed with bronze mounts. Back plate & pendulum marked ‘A&N 45279 Paris’.
