Antique Hallmarked Silver Heart-shaped Boudoir Timepiece

1900 - 1920
Description

A pretty hallmarked silver heart-shaped 30-hour 'Boudoir' timepiece.

The face has a pretty decorated brass bezel surround, an enamelled dial with Arabic numerals and gilded brass hands. There is a subsidiary seconds dial above the '6' with fast/slow regulation to the back.

There are good clear hallmarks to the lower right front, for the Douglas Clock Co Ltd of Birmingham and dated 1902 (1 year after the death of Queen Victoria). The back is made of engine turned brass and It stands with the help of a fold-out brass recessed stand.

Serial No: 122441. Complete with winding keys.
