18th Cent Carved Oak Longcase Clock

Description

A handsome carved oak longcase clock by Samuel Pearce of Honiton, Devon. The oak case has some bold and well executed carving (probably carried out in the 19th Cent).

The original 30hr birdcage movement has a very attractive brass dial, gilt spandrels and a large date indicator. The cut steel hands and large brass bell look original and it is complete with weight and pendulum.

The case is in good condition but has the inevitable shrinkage crack to the base. The movement is in good working order.

The maximum dimensions are:

51cm(20") wide

205cm(86") high

26cm(10") deep
