19th Cent Repeating Fusee Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

A very smart English bracket clock dating from around 1825. The dial is signed J Smith, John Street, London. He is listed as working there C1825. The twin fusee movement has shaped plates, strikes the hours on a bell and has a pull repeat.

The mahogany case has gothic brass frets to the side and some nice carved detail. The case is in need of a little tidying. The dial glass has a crack and the back door glass is missing.

The maximum dimensions are:

33cm(13") wide, dial is 20cm(8") diameter

44.5cm(17.5") high

18cm(7") deep
