Bushells Antiques has dated this Sterling Silver Pierced Centrepiece to the Edwardian era.
This hefty piece is beautifully made and comes apart for storage or travel. The top dish is fashioned to to resemble an octagonal basket and the rim has a pierced gallery. The second tier is where the hallmarks can be found for this highly prized silversmith. This allows us to date it accurately, the letter S for the year 1907 so early Edwardian in era.
An impressive piece, measuring 8" in diameter across the centre dish and standing 12" tall. Excellent condition. Weight: 595 grams. 19.13 ounces.
