Description

An impressive French Napoleon III bronze gilt mantel clock with decorative mouldings, beaded detail, and leaf design throughout adorned with putti and surmounted with finals and porcelain urn. The clock has inset blue sevre style porcelain panels with two domed shaped delicately painted scenes of a windmill and cottages within a gilt border.

The clock has a blue porcelain dial with beautifully painted butterflies and flowers and a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name:-
