Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The case has reeded columns to the hood with matching reeded quarter columns to the trunk. The clock door has its original lock with working key.

The clock has a pleasing painted dial with gilded brass hands and 8 day movement striking on a bell at the hour. The movement has been fully serviced and is in perfect working order. James Cameron is listed as working at 85 Murraygate in Dundee from 1828 - 1850.
Altogether a rather nice Scottish longcase in very good original, un-touched condition.
