Description

An extremely good quality French Napoleon III Bronze gilt mantel clock in the Louis XVI style with delicately hand painted inset porcelain panels of flowers and golden pheasant. The clock has a hunting theme with anchor, fishing net and fish to one side and horn, rabbit and birds to the other. The clock has an oak leaf and acorn garland and is surmounted with a springer spaniel dog with duck. The dial is white enamel with Roman numerals and the clock has a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.

The back plate is stamped with the makers name:-
