Antique Rosewood Lenzkirch Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

A fine quality rosewood bracket/mantle clock , the case inlaid to the front and sides with fretwork panels, domed pediment, engraved silvered, brass dial. Approx 40 cms tall. The backplate impressed with the usual Lenzkirch insignia to the top quality 8 day movement encompassed in these prestigious clocks of this period. The chiming mechanism involves a double, ting tang sound once on the quarter, twice on the half and three times at quarter to the hour. It then strikes the numbered hour at 12 o* clock. Numbered 77285. C.1890. Fully serviced and guaranteed for 12 months. A good, all original well presented clock.
