Charming & Attractive English Oak Cased Longcase Clock with Astragal Glazed Trunk Door Housing a Good Quality Embee/Peerless 8 Day Triple Weight that Plays Mellow Westminster Musical Chimes on each Quarter on 4 Gong Rods and then Strikes the Hours at the O'clock on another 4 Rods. Powered by Gravity with 3 Heavy Weights and Timing Maintained via a Long Pendulum.

Checked, Oiled and Tested to be in Good & Full Antique Working Condition. Chime/Silent & Strike/Silent Levers.

In the 1920/30s Embee/Peerless were one of the best Top Quality German Makers of Westminster Chiming Clock Movements. There is a Fine Veneer Adjuster to Aid Attaining the Correct Beat - even Tick Tock. Similarly, Fine Veneer Adjusters for Each Chiming Hammer & for the Strike.

The Case is Good and Sound, Raised on Bun Feet with Attractive Astragal Glazed.
