Its About Time has dated this piece to the 1880s.
This little carriage clock was retailed by Boxall of Brighton circa 1880 and features a push repeat and a strike for the hour and half hour. The clock will run for a week but if you want it to strike the whole week, a midweek strike wind is essential. Thomas Boxall of Brighton was a maker and retailer of fine clocks from his shop in Kings Road, Brighton. The picture of three clocks give an idea of size. The Giant , the standard and of course this little miniature. A very unusual clock and I don't think you will ever see another ! 92mm tall , 50mm wide , 45mm deep.
