The 8 Day Movement by the Renowned German Clockmaker Peerless is of Regulator Quality with 3 Heavy Cable Hung Weights, Deadbeat Escapement & Maintaining Power. There is the Choice of 3 Mellow Tunes on 8 Gongs. Plus it Strikes the Hours on 4 Additional Gongs. The Brass Dial with Slivered Chapter Ring, Tune Dial & Silent Dial.

The Oak Case with Astragal Glazed Door is also of Top Quality, Standing on Ogee Bracket Feet, 77.5in or 197cm high. Circa 1920s. Provenance - Commemorative Retirement Plaque for September 1930 - though this could be removed or turned round.
