19th Cent Oak and Mahogany Cottage Longcase Clock

Description

A lovely little cottage longcase clock dating from the early 19th Cent. It is by H Daniel of Sarringdon. The case is in nicely figured oak with mahogany cross banding.

The 30hr movement has an attractive painted dial with a subsidiary seconds dial.

The case is in lovely original condition and it has retained its original finish. The movement is in working order with the exception of the strike mechanism which has currently been disabled. This does however have the advantage that it now runs for 3-4 days rather than the original 30 hours.

The maximum dimensions are:

199cm (78.5") high (excl finial)

51cm (20") wide

23cm (9") deep
