Description

An extremely good quality French Louis XIV style boulle natural coloured tortoise shell and engraved brass inlaid mantel clock with side and front viewing windows showing the clocks decorative inlaid back door and floor. The clock has good quality bronze gilt ormolu mounts and moulds and is surmounted with cherub finial to the top

The clock has a 5 inch cartouche dial with white enamel Roman numerals and a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell with outside count wheel.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name:-
