French Belle Epoque Brass and Porcelain Clock Set

19th century
Description

An extremely fine quality French Belle Epoque clock set comprising of a brass and porcelain painted mantel clock with two vase urn garnitures. Both the clock and garnitures have beautifully hand painted scenes of birds and butterflies in relief with gilt detail on a pale duck egg blue background. The vase urns are painted all around with a floral and butterfly design to the back with a finial to the top and two side handles stood on brass ball feet. The mantel clock has acanthus leaf mouldings and is surmounted with finials and urn to the top stood on brass ball feet with a painted porcelain dial. The clock has a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong.

The brass has been cleaned and lacquered and the movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
