The movement is a five pillar, twin fusee, eight day on gut with pull repeat action, top pendulum adjustment and holdfast. The clock strikes the hours on a bell.

Charles Fredrick Crews was born in 1812 in Plymouth and is registered as working at 45 Treville Street in 1828 and 23 Bedford Street from 1844 - 1850.
The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
