A Late 19th Century Mahogany Bracket Clock Timepiece By Barraud And Lunds

A good late 19th century bracket clock in a mahogany case by Barraud and Lunds, the arched top case with gilt brass carrying handle and moulded edge over gilt brass door with bevelled convex glass to a silvered dial with Roman numerals and outer minute track in black, blued steel hands above the single winding arbour, with line inlay to the front and a lozenge with a boxwood butterfly within, all standing on compressed gilt brass feet. To the rear a solid door opening to reveal the single train eight day fusée movement signed and numbered to the backplate and corresponding with that on the dial, lenticular bob pendulum with brass retaining screw to the side. English, and with an English movement, circa 1895. Supplied with winding key and two door keys.
