A Large French Brass Inlaid Mahogany Planchon a Paris Mantel Clock.

Description

A nice striking Mantel Clock on stand made by Planchon A Paris.

The rich decorated case in dark Mahogany with gilt brass details looks just like boulle inlay.

The clock has a Silvered dial with Roman hour numerals, minute numbers and has the origianal pierced and patinated metal hands.

all within an applied pierced and engraved gilt mask surrounds the entire clock face.,

A mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. After winding runs for at least 10 days.

Movement is stamped with “Planchon Palais-Royal” and withi 1889 Medaille D'argent Marti et Cie.

The clock is running well an Original old pendulum an old key are included.

The measurements are 24 inches (61 cm) Tall by 12 1/2 inches (32 cm) Wide. including the stand.

The overall condition is very good with no apparent faults.
