A Fine French Carriage Clock By Drocourt

A fine late 19th century French repeatercarriage clock by Drocourt, the gilt brass Gorge case with original gilding, with a thick square bevelled viewing glass over a jewelled British lever escapement, white enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer minute track and five minute markers, the eight day two train movement with a repeater function striking the hours and half hours on a coiled gong; the backplate bearing the mark of Alfred Drocourt (D C in an oval with a clock to the centre) partly concealed by the gong. French, made for the English market, circa 1880. Key supplied.
 
Condition: Excellent, the gilding is in very good condition with good colour, the clock has been fully serviced and is in full working condition.
