For sale this fine rare Great Western Railway 8-day signal box tool clock no 0549 by Smiths, dating pre-1939. Fitted in its original Oak case with its original Smiths 8 days movement with a platform escapement and is in full working order keeping time. Fully signed original dial with the GWR signature and numbered 0549 along with Made in England. This great little clock shows signs of a hard-working tool clock, the original and unrestored dial showing some ageing as shown in the pics. Affectionately referred to as a Pork Pie clock because of its well-turned Oak case. It is in original condition and will polish up well with a good patina. Size approx. 14.8cm in diameter by 8.7cm deep including the lens. A rare clock.
