Description

A very good quality and well proportioned c19th French gilt bronze clock by Raingo Freres of Paris, circa 1860 in the Classical style.

The clock is in excellent condition and the gilt bronze has been cleaned to just the right level. Very much a decorative mantle clock, but with it being finished on all sides the clock would sit well on a sofa table for example.

Great detail throughout the whole case and stamped H. Picard and numbered 2305.

The clock strikes on a "gong" on the hour and on the half hour and is keep excellent time with its 8 day movement.

Beautiful gilt bronze mantle clock in super condition by a quality maker and Henri Picard was a very well recognised founder.
