A 1940s Art Deco clock by Vitascope.

This fantastic clock was made in Ramsey on the Isle of Man in circa 1940 and has an automated rocking ship on an illuminated ocean scene with cloud background. The ship gently rocks with the lit background changing from sunrise to sunset.

It is in original condition and full working order with chrome Art Deco dial and hands.

The ship is thought to be a replica of the famous Star of India, built in Ramsey in 1863.

There is an example of one in the Manx Museum. This particular example is in beautiful condition throughout, cleaned, movement completely overhauled, stripped, cleaned and serviced. The Bakelite case is in perfect condition. In full working order, must be seen to be fully appreciated. Video showing the ship in motion and changing colour background available upon request.
