The front and sides have silk lined fishscale fret panels and it stands on brass ogee feet. The 8 day twin fusee movement has a profusely engraved backplate and retains its original verge escapement. A 'Charles White' is listed in London Post Office records as a ' Watchmaker working at 43 Albany Street, Regents Park', in 1852, this is presumably the second generation.
