French Gilt Metal Rococo Style Mantel Clock

Description

A very decorative French gilt metal serpentine shaped mantel clock in the Rococo style with scrolling leaf design throughout, fish scale detail and floral garlands. The clock has a enamel dial with hand painted cherub catching butterflies with a French timepiece movement.

The clock case is stamped H&H made in France.

Harris & Harrington, known as H&H were based in New York. They were importers of quality French movements. They also made cases and installed movements.

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
