An absolutely charming very small Victorian painted trunk. This wonderful little box, of identical form to the far more commonly seen larger versions, is comprised of a lift-up lid opening to reveal a simple general purpose storage interior. It retains all of its metal corner protectors, both original lifting handles, and it has a simple plinth base support. There is a working latch to keep the lid shut with no key. This enchanting Victorian trunk, with its original paint finish, dates from c.1890s.
