A beautiful antique French gilt brass boudoir clock dating from around 1870. It is modelled in the Louis XVI style, architectural in design with an arched top surmounted by an urn. Delicate scrolling foliage adorns the case. A goddess mask sits in the centre of a elaborately fretted front panel through which the pendulum can be seen swinging within the case.

The stunning dial is enamel on copper and features a finely painted floral swag. It is complete with original blued steel hands and convex bezel.

The French movement is of high quality and has the Vincenti mark on the backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some minor wear or discolouration to the original gilding. The dial is also in lovely condition with just some faint hairlining.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
