Description

Thomas Clare is recorded as working in Bedford circa 1788. He had a son in 1812 (Thomas Pinkerd Clare) who he apprenticed in 1827 and then into partnership in 1840 to 1862. Thomas Pinkerd Clare continued till his death in 1882 and was succeeded by his sons Charles Thomas & Alfred Howard Clare, who Retired in 1901 selling out to John Bull, who are still trading today as a Renowned & High-Class Jewellers in Bedford.

This is a Small Oak with Mahogany Banding Longcase Clock with Attractive Graining & Patination. Raised on a Shaped Plinth.

Height including finial 77.6in or 197cm
