Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It retains it's original French-polished finish and has a beautiful age-related patina. There are brass carrying handles to the sides and gilt brass splayed bracket feet.
The convex, white enamelled dial has black Roman numerals with Arabic markers to the quarters of the minute ring. A stunning pair of beautifully cut hands, and the whole surrounded by a brass bezel and convex glass.
The 8 day movement by World renowned maker A.D. MOUGIN strikes on the half-hour and the hours. It has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mths parts and labour guarantee.
