Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The clock stands on its original splay bracket feet and has boxwood stringing to the base.
The hood has slim reeded columns with brass capitals. The arched top has a fretted decoration and brass ball finials.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has subsidiary dials for seconds and the date. In the arch and the dial corners are some very attractive painted scenes.
The case is in excellent condition and the movement is in good working order and complete with pendulum, weights, bell and winding key.
