Striking Carriage Clock by Henri Jacot

Description

Henri JACOT: a very fine French striking CARRIAGE CLOCK in perfect working order and complete with its original numbered winding key and outer leather travelling case.

Contained within its heavy cast brass "Corniche" case the 8-day movement retains its original silvered platform lever escapement and perfect enamel dial. It strikes hours and half-hours on a gong and it is signed with the makers trademark on the backplate and numbered 16797. Fully guaranteed and highly recommended. About 7.5ins (19cms) high with the handle up.

***This clocks is complete with its original numbered winding key and leather case (a little worn) ~ quite a rare feature these days as so often they are lost.
