Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1870s.
It strikes hours and half-hours on a gong and it is signed with the makers trademark on the backplate and numbered 16797. Fully guaranteed and highly recommended. About 7.5ins (19cms) high with the handle up.
This clocks is complete with its original numbered winding key and leather case (a little worn) ~ quite a rare feature these days as so often they are lost.
