Late 18th Cent Oak & Mahogany Longcase Clock

Description

A very attractive late 18th Cen Longcase Clock by John Hudson of Nottingham. He is listed as working there from 1795 to 1799.

The case is in oak with extensive mahogany banding and some very attractive "Tunbridge" style inlay.

The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has an attractive painted dial that is in original unrestored condition.

The case is in excellent condition having being recently restored.

The movement is also in good, clean condition, running well and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

29cm (11.5") deep
