Victorian Walnut Drumhead Mantel Clock (France, C. 1860)

19th century
Description

A well proportioned and decorative figured walnut mantel clock dating to the mid Victorian period. It has a carved crested drumhead with scroll supports and a applied carving to the moulded base. It has a clear white Roman numeral dial with a bevel edge glass. The 8 day pendulum timepiece movement (does not strike) is numbered 273 and has a glazed rear door.

Current Condition

The case and dial are in excellent original condition, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months
