A Small Edwardian Mahogany Mantel Clock

An Edwardian mantel clock of small proportions in a mahogany case with gilt bronze fittings, the arched case with boxwood line inlay a flat top with carrying handle and on gilt bronze bracket feet, with a glazed arched door to the silvered dial with engraved floral decoration and a chapter ring with Roman numerals and shaped blued steel hands. To the back a door to the French eight day movement by Japy Frčres striking the hours and half hours on a coiled gong, with a platform escapement.
 
English, with a French movement, circa 1910.
 
Condition: Excellent, the movement has been fully serviced and is in full working condition. The case is in excellent condition. There is a small later (1934) brass presentation plaque on the lower part of the front.
